About the Journal
Scope
Huarte de San Juan. Filología y Didáctica de la Lengua publishes research results and original work on linguistics, literature and their teaching, in the fields of Spanish, Basque, English and French. The Journal has a generalist view and aims to disseminate work belonging to different areas and with different approaches. It is edited by the Publishing Unit of the Public University of Navarre in collaboration with the Department of Humanities and Education. The articles may be published in Spanish, Basque, English or French.
Open access policy
The journal is published open access mode. The articles can be read, downloaded, copied, distributed and printed quickly, easily and freely. The articles will be available immediately after publication. This way, the journal aims to contribute to the widest possible dissemination of science and knowledge.
The journal is free of charge for authors.

All articles are published under a Creative Commons (BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. Each article will be assigned a DOI.
Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to the first publication. Authors can sign additional agreements to non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article (for example, in an institutional repository) as long as appropriate attribution to the original publication is provided. Articles can be uploaded to institutional repositories immediately after publication.
Electronic distribution of the articles (for example, academic social networks or personal webpages) is allowed and encouraged.
The journal reserves the right to publicise the work in social networks and other electronic means.
Peer-review process
Huarte de San Juan. Filología y Didáctica de la Lengua follows a strict double blind peer-review policy. The editorial board will acknowledge reception of all manuscripts submitted.
- Manuscript will be reviewed anonymously (double blind peer-review) by two specialists and, at least, one not part of the editorial board. The review form to be used is published on the webpage and authors can have access it. Download review form.
- In case of disagreement between both reviewers, the editorial board will send the article to a third reviewer or to a member of the editorial board, who will decide on the state of the manuscript. Editorial decisions include; Reject, reject and resubmit, major revisions, minor revisions and accept. The editorial board decision is unappealable.
- Huarte de San Juan. Filología y Didáctica de la Lengua will reach a decision about manuscripts within twelve weeks after reception. In the answer to the author/s, the editors will include the reviewers’ recommendations anonymously so that the author/s can revise their work. Author/s should revise their works within five weeks.
- The author/s of accepted manuscript will receive proofs of their articles for revision but only essential and minor changes will be allowed at this stage. The corrected proofs will be sent back to the editors within ten working days.
Submissions
Manuscript submitted for publication should be original, unpublished, and not submitted or under consideration in any other journal. The journal will consider manuscripts previously published in repositories or in conference proceedings as long as the manuscript is an elaboration and advancement of the previous work and full acknowledgement to the previous version is included.
Manuscript should be sent using the submission link on the journal webpage. On the first page, the author will include the tittle, which will be as concise and specific as possible, an abstract with a maximum of 150 words in the language of the article and in English or Spanish, and 5 key words. Manuscript should also state whether the work is the result of a research project.
Core practices and antiaplagiarism policy

Huarte de San Juan. Filología y Didáctica de la Lengua maintains a strict antiaplagiarism policy which ensures that all the academic works it publishes are original and have not previously been published elsewhere in any other format (fully or partially). The Urkund antiplagiarism program is used to guarantee the originality of all submissions. This antiplagiarism policy complies with international standards of originality.
